MedTech Association Attends Prominent Trade Shows

This past May, MedTech employees participated in BIOMEDevice Boston, New England's largest Medical Device Event. In partnership with the Massachusetts Medical Device Industry Council (MassMEDIC), BIOMEDevice Boston is a powerful, end-to-end industry showcase which connects over 4,000 engineers and executives - as well as 400 leading suppliers - across the entire Northeast Region of the United States. BIOMEDevice Boston also delivers two days of conference tracks covering topics such as product development, emerging sensor technology, and healthcare IoT. Among this year's speakers were leaders from Phillips, Johnson & Johnson and Massachusetts General Hospital.

Recognizing the opportunity provided by such a large trade fair, MedTech was eager to receive a designated booth at the convention. By marketing the event to members, our company was lucky enough to receive a joint space. This proved to be optimal for our interested affiliates as it allowed them to promote their own individual businesses/products at the showcase in efficient two-hour intervals The proactive companies that fully utilized our MedTech table included the Central New York Biotech Accelerator, iuvo BioScience, Tapecon Inc., Polymer Conversions, Parker Isaac Instruments and Novatek Communications.

While BIOMEDevice Boston was certainly beneficial for MedTech, our company is currently focused on another upcoming congregation of trade. Taking place on November 8-9, MD&M Minneapolis is the Midwest's premier event for biotechnology solutions, connections

and education under one roof. With more than 5,000 design and manufacturing professionals and 600 suppliers in attendance, MD&M Minneapolis is slightly larger than BIOMEDevice Boston, thus facilitating the connection to a greater concentration of valuable business resources. On top of the superior networking opportunities, MD&M also features Keynote Presentations from well-known professionals. Last year's diversified lineup featured an IoT evangelist, a video game artist focused on VR, and a Navy Seal combat paramedic among others. While the 2017 Presentation lineup is not yet established, be sure to check the MD&M website for future details.

MedTech will be in attendance at this event with another joint member booth. Our company is looking forward to experiencing the best MD&M has to offer, and any MedTech affiliated organization is encouraged to join. Feel free to reach out to us!
