MedTech Hosts Member Meetup at Tapecon Inc.

Every quarter, MedTech Association organizes a meetup at one of its member companies. These gatherings allow fellow members to engage with employees of the host company through interactive tours and presentations which showcase the company's internal operations and utilization of current industry trends. This transparency facilitates new connections and potential business opportunities within our member base.

Last week, MedTech employees traveled to Tapecon Inc. in Buffalo, New York for our quarterly member meetup. Tapecon Inc. offers a broad scope of services and capabilities in converting solutions as well as specialized printing technologies focused towards industrial printing, printed & flexible electronics, and disposable medical device manufacturing. This family-owned business has been providing contract manufacturing services for over 95 years.

MedTech members in attendance were treated to an extensive and informative tour of the Tapecon facilities, followed by a presentation given by Steve Davis, the 5th generation president of the company. Davis attributed the success of his company to its ability to adapt to customer needs and industry standards. He also reinforced Tapecon's core values: learning is a challenge, embrace the challenge, improve it and connect/collaborate.

After Davis concluded his presentation, a group of Tapecon employees hosted an hors d'oeuvre and networking session.

Events such as our latest member meetup perfectly illustrate how MedTech uses its resources to develop the relationships, tools, and programs that enable New York State companies to bring tomorrow’s medical solutions to the healthcare marketplace. With the help of Tapecon's hospitality, MedTech was able to successfully connect, educate, and advocate for our members, something we strive to accomplish every day. As we continue to progress, we're looking forward to organizing more of these events to showcase the growth and success of the biomedical industry within the state!
